Google Sync Updates with Push Gmail Support

Google Sync, released earlier this year, keeps your calendar and contacts synced between your mobile phone and Google account. Now they've added that great, final bit of ultimate sync support by pushing Gmail to your phone.

If you're sporting an iPhone/iPod Touch, Windows Mobile phone, or Nokia S60 phone - you can now set up Google Sync to actively push your email to your device, ensuring you're never stuck waiting around for an update to see what's new or wondering if various work-around alternatives will follow through.

From the Official Google Mobile Blog:
"Sync works with your phone's native email application, so there's no additional software needed. Only interested in syncing your Gmail, but not your Calendar? Google Sync allows you to sync just your Contacts, Calendar, or Gmail, or any combination of the three."

Check out this link to see how to get Google Sync if you're not already a user and how to enable Gmail syncing if you've already got a Google Sync account.

Smart Defrag

( I am a little hesitant to recommend this application, although it boasts rave reviews on CNET.com - it seems to be a memory hog, but try it and let me know what you think)

It's hard to stand out in the crowded field of defraggers, but SmartDefrag is able to do so with an unexpected twist. Along with quick analysis and scans, SmartDefrag boasts an automated defragger that continually defrags the files that you use the most, and does it without becoming a persistent drag on your system resources. What is Twitter?

Follow Lucero on Twitter @Lucerosummit

If you don't know what Twitter is, then get your head out of the dirt. The oddly simple Web-based messaging service has grown to such an extent that you can't go more than a day without hearing the words Twitter or tweet at least a few times. The secret of Twitter is the ability to send out short messages (140-character limit) to tons of people, at once. These messages are generally sent via cell phone to whoever is "following" you, but can also be sent from your computer. "Following" means that you've signed up for a free Twitter account and selected another account you want to keep up with. Here is more on twitter.

Google Streetview

If you haven't experienced it yet, you will be shocked. Despite Microsoft's attempts to create better mapping software than google, they have failed. Besides the fact that Microsoft is expensive and complex (Google is free btw) it is not nearly as good. Click here to review Google's Streetview.

How to Change Your Screensize

It's odd to think about our computer monitors differently from our television screens. But, the truth is, everyone sees a different picture, based on their computer's monitor settings. One of the settings that can determine what you see and how you enjoy your computer experience is your "monitor resolution." The resolution affects how much you can see on your screen. It actually makes web sites and many programs look bigger or smaller. The lower the resolution, the bigger everything is, resulting in less space on your screen. Click here to review.
